Who am I?: My name is Andrew Buntrock. I am a senior at the University of Minnesota Duluth on track to be a fifth-year at this great university working toward Bachelors in Writing Studies with a journalism emphasis and Bachelors in Linguistics degrees. A plus side to this is that I get to enjoy playing on the men's rugby team a bit longer and live in Duluth a bit longer. I am currently the Video Media Production intern for the Men’s Hockey and Football programs, I have also worked for St. Luke's hospital and had other odd jobs in my college career.

What interests me: I love being active and being outside doing anything that seems like a good idea at the time. Playing rugby year round and pond hockey in the winter always keeps me busy. I also enjoy reading a good book, binge watching television shows on Netflix and playing with dogs. I am a passionate fan of pit bulls and the only thing keeping me from owning one is a landlord, who has just put in new carpet. I also enjoy writing about sports, trying to keep my blog on craft beer current, and trying to be involved in whatever else is interesting and current in the Duluth area.

Why I chose Duluth: I chose Duluth initially because of the men's hockey team and what kept me here was how I grew to love this city.  I am a huge sports fan and the atmosphere that surrounds Duluth hockey on this campus is something I fell in love with, and believe is one of a kind. The outdoors and constant rate of activity that everyone seems to be in, and the general friendly welcoming attitude that everyone has in Duluth also adds another factor of what a great place this is. There is so much to be seen and to do, knowing that you would have to try to be bored in Duluth is something that I see as an underrated aspect of the town.
