153 UMD goalies for the men’s and women’s hockey teams combined to make a total of 153 saves in four games this weekend. Senior Kayla Black stopped 74 shots in two playoff wins, and Kasimir Kaskisuo made 74 saves for the men, including a career-high 49 saves Friday night.


100 Junior forward Ashleigh Brykaliuk recorded her 100th career point on the game-tying goal in the women’s hockey team’s 2-1 overtime playoff victory over Bemidji State.


32 Senior guard Pierre Newton scored 32 points in his final collegiate basketball game, an opening round playoff loss to Sioux Falls last Wednesday. This season Newton led the Bulldogs in points per game (20.5) and rebounds per game (6.9).


5 Despite not winning an event in the competition, the men’s track & field team placed No. 5 in the NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The highest finish for UMD was No. 2 in the distance medley relay consisting of Josh Peterson, Connor Behm, Nathan Comer, and Grant Pulver.


4 Both the men’s and women’s hockey teams swept ranked opponents this weekend, winning a total of four games between them. The men’s hockey team topped No. 3 St. Cloud State and the women’s team beat No. 7 Bemidji State in the opening round of the WCHA playoffs.


1 Sophomore women’s track & field runner Emi Trost was the individual point leader at the NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend. The All-American won the 1,000-meter and the mile race. She also won the medley relay with teammates Brittany Platt, Breanna Colbenson and Taylor Amundson.
