Crime Beat 1/20/16-1/24/16

 

  • On Wednesday, January 20, 2016  at 2:36 a.m. an officer assisted a student by giving them a ride to their on-campus residence at 1322 Maplewood Court.  SEE MORE:
  • Officers again a student with vehicle trouble at 7:37 a.m. when a vehicle prowl and entry was reported. The officers helped recover the property on the 300 block of W. St. Marie St.
  • The vehicle assists continued at 11:21 a.m. when an officer assisted a student in jump-starting their vehicle at 1320 Maplewood Court.
  • Less than four hours later, at 3:12 p.m. another vehicle was jump started by officers on the 1300 block of Junction Avenue.
  • On Thursday, January 21 at 3:31 a.m. an officer noticed that a sign was in the wrong place and returned it to it’s rightful location at 705 Oakland Circle.
  • At 1:51 p.m. an officer once again assisted a student with a jump start at 1120 Kirby Drive.
  • Officers responded to a security alarm at 11:46 p.m. They soon found it was a false alarm and secured the area, which was 1201 Ordean Court.
  • Close to an hour later at 1:14 a.m. officers again responded to a security alarm, this time on the 900 block of Woodland Avenue.
  • The excitement continued the next day, Friday January 22, when an officer assisted with a malfunctioned elevator at 1035 Kirby Drive at 6:35 p.m.
  • The weekend took a serious turn when officers arrested a total of five people for underage consumption between 10:35 p.m. on January 22 and 2:17 a.m. Saturday, January 23. One of those students was in need of medical assistance and was taken to the hospital.
  • This continued into Saturday night when a student was arrested for a small amount of marijuana at 11:22 p.m. at 513 Niagara Court.
  • Less than an hour later, on Sunday January 24, 2016 at 12:19 a.m., a student was arrested for underage consumption at 1216 Maplewood Court.
