71 Kenzie Kane and Allyson Harris together scored 71 points in two games this weekend for the women’s basketball team, over 61 percent of UMD’s total points, in a Friday win over Minot State and a Saturday loss to U-Mary.


36 From Friday’s loss to Saturday’s win, the men’s basketball team increased their point total by 36, scoring 100 points against U-Mary after managing just 64 against Minot State the previous night. Taylor Lavery and Pierre Newton paced the Bulldogs with 26 points each in Saturday’s win.


34 Sophomore men’s hockey goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo had made 34 consecutive starts in net dating back to last season before Saturday’s game against Denver, when Matt McNeely made his first start of the season. The change did not work, however, and UMD extended its winless streak to four games.


11 Ashleigh Brykaliuk, a junior captain for the women’s hockey team, ended her scoring streak at 11 games this weekend after the Bulldogs were shutout 2-0 Saturday afternoon.


3 The men’s track and field team broke three records at the Twin Ports Open this past weekend. Brian Lee broke the UMD record of 57’-9.50” in the weight toss with a throw of 58”-1.25.” Fellow junior Jason Lilja also set an all-time Lydia Therind Field House record in the high jump with a mark of 6’-6.75.” Lastly, the 4 X 1,600 relay team (Joey Erickson, Seth Hare, Henry Jessen and Josh Peterson) set a UMD record in the relay with a time of 18:13.28.
