Student seeking medical care

On Thursday at 1:56 a.m., a UMDPD officer responded to a student who was in possible need of medical care at 508 Niagara Court. Upon arrival, the officer gave the situation the all-okay. The student was advised, and this was filed as a matter of record. At 2:42 a.m., an officer removed an object from a driving lane near 1336 University Drive. This was filed as a matter of record.

At 2:21 p.m., an officer assisted a student at 1013 University Drive whose vehicle wouldn’t start.

At 7:25 p.m., an officer responded to a report of suspicious activity at 513 Niagara Court. The officer checked the area and concluded that the source of the suspicious activity was gone.

A report of a vehicle lockout at 1049 University Drive was reported to the UMDPD at 10:15 p.m. An officer responded and assisted the student.

The UMDPD was busy at Oakland Circle on Friday morning. At 12:25 a.m., officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at 618 Oakland Circle. The officer checked the area but found nothing of note. They filed a report.

Just 16 minutes later, at 12:41 a.m., officers responded to a report of damage to UMD property at 619 Oakland Circle. The officers filed a report.

At 12:30 p.m., an officer responded to a fire alarm that went off in 1220 Village Lane. It was a false alarm, triggered due to facilities management work in the area. This was filed as a matter of record.

A report of suspicious activity at 1220 Maplewood Court was reported to the UMDPD at 7:31 p.m. The responding officer found a student in possession of drug paraphernalia. The student was cited.

Between 7:38 p.m. on Friday and 2:09 a.m. on Saturday, UMDPD officers pulled over 17 vehicles. Only one ticket for speeding was given out; the rest of the drivers were either reprimanded or advised and then released.

At 1:11 a.m., an officer assisted an intoxicated person at West Arrowhead Road and Haines Road by providing them with a ride to their residence.

A vehicle was pulled over at 1:42 a.m. on the 2700 block of West Arrowhead Road. The driver was advised and then referred. At 1:51 a.m., on the 3500 block of West Arrowhead Road, the driver was pulled over by a different UMDPD officer. The driver was quickly released.

At 2:31 a.m., an officer responded to suspicious activity on West College Street and Kirby Drive. A student was reprimanded and released.

A student was cited for underage consumption on the 300 block of Harbor Drive at 7:31 p.m. The student was transported to detox.

A report of suspicious activity at 513 Niagara Court came into the UMDPD at 9:34 p.m. A student was eventually cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 10:57 p.m., another call from 513 Niagara Court prompted officer response. A student was cited for underage consumption.

An officer was sent back to Niagara Court, this time to 506, in response to suspicious activity. A student had to be transported to detox, but no citation was given out.
