Lake Superior Zoo EGG-stravaganza offers Easter fun

The Easter Bunny arrived early for kids at the Lake Superior Zoo during the annual EGG-stravaganza on March 30. The event featured an egg hunt, coloring contest and games as well as programs about lemurs, amur tigers and barnyard animals. New this year was a "toddler only" egg hunting area for children up to 3 years of age and 2,000 "eco-eggs," which are made from plant-based plastic that are completely compostable. LakeVoice photographer Blake Romenesko took photos at the event, which can be viewed below. Click on the photos to learn more about them with captions.
