Minnesota has environmental watchdog in Duluth

The Natural Resource Research Institute (NRRI) at the University of Minnesota Duluth has been Minnesota's "environmental watchdogs," for the past 20 years, striving to protect and nurture the environmental impact of Minnesota's natural resources. Based out of an abandoned Air Force Building located on Miller Trunk Highway, researchers have recently developed rapidly deployable housing, mattress recycling innovations and building materials from pulp mill waste.
